Below are some important steps to know how to build a firewood rack
Initially build a base or foundation and for that you would need 2 no's 2 x 2 x 8 feet rails and lay them 16 inches apart from each other on a flat surface.
Then select 2 x 6 x 32 inches base support and cut it into two with 16 inches in length for right & left, cross bracing and attach both the ends of 2 x 6 x 8 pieces.
Take the remaining 2 x 2 x 8 feet foundation base rails and then cut it into five pieces which will have 16 inches for each cross bracing and by using nails attach them equally spaced.
Once the base is ready then you have to turn over the structure.
Next step is to build panels for both the ends. For this you have to choose 2 x 4 x 8 feet and cut them into two pieces so that they will have 48 inches for each support. Once it is ready just lay them on the flat surface.
Next is to select the plywood for external use and then cut it into two at 16 x 48 inches so that it can be utilized for right & left panels.
Attach this plywood by using one and half inch screws and then you repeat the step number five and seven in order to create other end panel.
Attach these panels to the base and start attaching this base to the right panel by using 3 inch screw. Repeat this step for creating the left panel.
Now you can attach the support braces. For this you have to select the plywood which has to be cut into four pieces of one foot squares. Also make sure than you cut them to have a 45 degree angle so that you can attach one corner using one and half inch screws.
Once all the screwing is done you have to set the firewood rack upright. Also paint it with a good external paint.
